Network Monitoring

Full visibility, from RAN to core
One correlated dataset across every domain and service,
on a single cloud-native platform.
The Challenge

What is Network Monitoring?

Network monitoring is the correlation of performance data from every domain on the service path, from the radio access network through the core to the service layer, into a single dataset. Radio trace data is correlated with core signaling and user-plane data, indexed by subscriber and timestamp. A single session can then be analysed across every domain it traverses, identifying within seconds the point at which a degradation originated and the specific cell or network element responsible.

The Challenge

How Can RADCOM Help You?

RADCOM ACE delivers full-stack visibility from the RAN to the core on a single cloud-native platform, with one correlated data source across every domain and service. RADCOM Core Analytics covers the mobile core across all generations, from legacy 2G and 3G through 4G LTE to full 5G Standalone. RADCOM RAN Experience Analytics (REA) adds dedicated radio visibility for RAN engineers, with both RAN-only and end-to-end views at 10-second sub-session granularity. Dedicated solutions extend the same assurance to fixed wireless access and private networks, and RADCOM Neura AI agents turn what the platform sees into a recommended course of action. The result is a single workflow that unifies radio performance, network behavior, and customer experience, accelerating optimization and resolution across the entire service.

Solution 01

End-to-end monitoring, domain by domain

01

Core Analytics

One view of the mobile core, from 2G to 5G Standalone and beyond.

Operators run 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G non-stand alone and standalone in parallel for years, and each generation tends to arrive with its own monitoring tool and its own version of the truth. RADCOM ACE replaces that patchwork with a single view of the entire core, correlating signaling and user-plane traffic across every domain. Cloud-native and software-defined, it captures and analyzes core data at 5G scale, giving operators end-to-end visibility into network performance, service quality, and subscriber experience, and feeding the same correlated dataset that extends from the RAN to the core.

02

RAN Analytics

Give radio engineers deep visibility inside the platform they already trust..

Every generation added to the radio network makes it harder to identify which cell is hurting which customer. RADCOM RAN Experience Analytics (REA) answers that question inside the assurance platform operators already run, resolving radio data down to 10-second slices of a single session. Its unique “impact pairs” view exposes cell-to-cell problems competing tools cannot see, and voice quality is mapped geographically for planning and optimization. Root cause is available for any subscriber on demand, not just a VIP list, in seconds rather than hours, and new site launches and drive testing are validated automatically, so every radio change can be tied to a measurable improvement in service.

03

RAN-to-Core Analytics

Follow the subscriber from the radio to the core, in one correlated dataset.

04

Interval Solution & Session-Level Analysis

See the moment, not the average.

Voice quality problems rarely last a whole call. They flare for a few seconds during a handover, a cell-edge moment, or a congestion spike, then clear. A full-session CDR averages the entire call, so those seconds vanish into the average, which is why intermittent VoNR and VoLTE complaints are so hard to reproduce.

RADCOM’s 10-Second Interval solution removes the blind spot. It measures voice quality in 10-second increments across the full RTP session and ties each interval to the radio conditions and serving cell at that exact moment. The result is a RAN-to-core timeline of the customer’s voice experience, so operators know when quality dropped and which cell caused it.

How it works

  • Interval RTP measurements: jitter, packet loss, pMOS, R-factor, and mute duration every 10 seconds, uplink and downlink
  • Interval RRC measurements tie each slice to the serving cell, any handovers, and radio metrics (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR)
  • Both streams sequence into one RAN-to-core view per SIP call, sliced into 10-second segments over a configurable time range
  • Impact analysis per location and cell (region, market, cluster, eNodeB, site, cell, CGI), for MO and MT calls
  • Runs on demand in the Session Analyzer for targeted troubleshooting

Benefits vs. full-session CDR

  • Exposes short-lived degradations a session-level CDR hides
  • Pinpoints when quality dropped, and the cell, network element, and condition behind it
  • Full RAN-to-core view of the voice session in one correlated table
  • Faster detection and more accurate root cause for intermittent VoNR and VoLTE issues
  • Cell and location-level impact analysis for MO and MT calls
  • Cuts time to diagnose and optimize voice quality, without capturing full detail on every call
05

Fixed Wireless Access (FWA)

Assure the service all the way into the home.

RADCOM ACE assures Fixed Wireless Access all the way into the home. Through the standard TR-069 interface, it unifies network data (deep packet inspection, control plane, and user plane) with statistics from behind the CPE, across 4G, 5G, private networks, small cells, and unlicensed spectrum. Operators get per-subscriber quality monitoring, Wi-Fi and video streaming assurance, and predictive analytics that flag likely support tickets before they arrive, so churn falls and packages can be upsized on real home usage.

06

Private Networks

One platform, two audiences, the same numbers.

One multi-tenant platform serves the operator and its enterprise customers from the same data. A lightweight probing agent at each site feeds a central back end, so an operator monitors hundreds of private networks from one vendor-agnostic view while each enterprise sees only its own. Same KPIs, same alarms, so no one argues over conflicting numbers in an SLA dispute. ACE compares live performance against guaranteed KPIs, predicts breaches before they happen, and triggers corrective action across Private LTE, Private 5G, Private RAN and Core, and 5G SA slicing.

FAQs

  • End-to-end monitoring correlates performance data from every domain on the service path, from the radio access network (RAN) through the core to the service layer, into a single dataset. Operators can analyze each session across every domain it crosses, so they can see within seconds where degradation started, and which cell or network element caused it.

It resolves radio data to 10-second slices of a single session, offers root cause for any subscriber on demand, and validates new site launches and drive testing automatically. Its impact pairs view exposes cell-to-cell problems that competing tools cannot see.

RADCOM measures jitter, packet loss, pMOS, R-factor and mute duration every 10 seconds, uplink and downlink, and ties each interval to the serving cell and radio conditions (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR).
