NWDAF

Network Data Analytics Function (NWDAF) provides automated, AI/ML-based analytics for closed-loop, zero-touch network automation and an improved customer experience. Offers standard-based (3GPP) use cases, such as 5G network slice assurance as well as proprietary use cases and interfaces.

A standard-based 3GPP solution

The NWDAF is deployed as an NF within the 5G Packet Core, fully containerized and fully integrated with the NRF, enabling communications with other NFs in the Core with analytics provided through open APIs. Provides all the use cases defined in Rel. 15, 16, and 17.

Features

  • Standard interfaces based on HTTP2
  • Authenticated and encrypted interfaces
  • High reliability and redundancy
  • High-performance and real-time analytics
  • Statistical and aggregated KPI-based analysis

5G analytics for paging optimization

Offers extended use cases

Collects and correlates proprietary vendor event feeds and exports data analytics through non-3GPP APIs that enable use cases like:

  • Enrich RIC data to improve optimization decisions
  • Enable IoT anomaly detection
  • Mitigate signaling storms
  • Improve VIP customer experiences

Unique value:

Offers standards-based and extended use cases

Supports use cases defined in Rel. 15, 16 and 17 and proprietary use cases

Provides automated telco-based AI/ML analytics

Collects data from the RAN to the core and applies advanced AI capabilities
