Tel Aviv, Israel –April 29, 2014 − RADCOM Ltd. (NASDAQ: RDCM), a leading innovative service assurance and customer experience provider, today announced that it has joined the Alcatel-Lucent CloudBand Ecosystem program. This initiative was established to advance industry adoption of Network Functions Virtualization. RADCOM’s joining of this initiative follows the company’s recent launch of MaveriQ, its NFV-based based network analytics solution
MaveriQ is RADCOM’s NFV-based network analytics solution with super-high-capacity processing power. MaveriQ brings probe-based service assurance into the terabit era, giving operators clear visibility into all quality aspects of 4G LTE, VoLTE and LTE-Advanced networks.
The CloudBand Ecosystem program is the first open community of service providers, developers and vendors adopting NFV. Virtualizing network functions allows faster and more efficient deployment of network functions where they are needed. In addition, service life-cycles can be more easily managed to meet dynamic customer demands without the huge investments in time, costs and power that are currently required.
Participating in the Alcatel-Lucent CloudBand Ecosystem program will enable RADCOM to further develop the unique capabilities of its MaveriQ Service Assurance and Customer Experience solution. Deploying MaveriQ as a Virtual Network Function allows operators to reduce CAPEX and OPEX, speed up deployment time and achieve better flexibility and scalability while improving subscriber Quality of Experience and optimizing their telecommunications network.
”The industry is shifting towards virtualized platforms such as virtualized Evolved Packet Core (vEPC) and a virtualized IMS (vIMS).” said Eyal Harari, VP Products and Marketing. “We are excited to join the Alcatel-Lucent CloudBand Ecosystem program. RADCOM is cooperating with network equipment vendors to provide Quality of Experience monitoring solutions for virtualized network architectures. We are pleased to be at the forefront of the community of service providers, developer and vendors developing NFV based solutions.”
“We believe that the CloudBand NFV Platform is where the industry is headed, and we are delighted that we can give companies like RADCOM the opportunity to make use of our open cloud architecture, said Dor Skuler, Alcatel-Lucent VP and CloudBand Business GM.“Together CloudBand and our ecosystem partners are moving the industry from NFV experimentation in the lab and field trials, to execution in the network.”
